6-7-16 Members Present: Timmy, Isabel, Tenaya, Ray, Me. Woo hoo! • Let’s start with reviewing everyone who turned in an application: Ana and Kaiya (together) • It’s pretty unanimous that co-directing won’t work • Summary: We need to say only one page for the next director’s application • We can incorporate more time in theatre committee to help give the director advice • The new director: Kaiya 5:0:0 -Motioned by Tenaya; seconded by Isabel • A Connecticut Yankee: pitched by Tenaya • It seems like only two characters have it all • Spamalot: pitched by Ray • Decent number of main characters and a lot of ensemble characters • The sets can be minimal because the characters are very strong • Legally Blonde was also suggested by Ms. Lorber because of it is recognizable • Fame: pitched by Ms. Bradford. High school students at an acting school in New York • There’s no number one plot, but it follows the students through their four years • The soundtrack for Fame is actually pretty rad • Fame will definitely be able to involve a lot more people in the school: band, dancers, etc. • Timmy stop kicking my chair • With all the different people in it, we will attract an insane amount of people • It sounds so much more realistic than high school musical • Timmy motions Fame to be the musical; Isabel seconds 3:0:2 • Our musical next year will be Fame
